May 21, 2010 / Nashville, TN - The record-breaking floods of May 1st and 2nd have left much of Nashville devastated in the aftermath. Many friends and neighbors have found themselves having to start all over and rebuild their lives from the ground up. The offices at O-Seven Artist Management were lucky enough only to incur a minor amount of damage in comparison to many of their neighbors in Franklin, TN. However, that comparatively minor amount of damage has left a huge mess for the employees at O-Seven to clean up.
The normally tame Harpeth River that flows behind the property spilled over the riverbanks and made its way into the offices, the stables, and the O-Seven recording studios. Thankfully, the water only reached a few inches in most places. However, others, like the basketball courts where the Miller family kids’ basketball teams practice, were submerged in nearly ten feet of water. The plastic gymnasium floor floated on the surface for hours until the water subsided.
After the rain had ended, the O-Seven team quickly set to work restoring the offices to normal. Mark Miller and Hobie Hubbard of Sawyer Brown (seen below) lent a hand in cleaning up the mess, as well, and the O-Seven employees ventured out into the community to help a fellow co-worker clean up the extensive damage to her home.
O-Seven was lucky enough to escape the kind of devastating damage that can be seen in the surrounding communities of Franklin and Bellevue; Their hearts go out to those who have lost so much in these trying times.
